Good morning all,
Markets are dropping from an overnight reaction to Israel and Iran tensions. Oil prices are spiking because of that and stocks like HUSA are up 61% and INTO up 37% as well as TPET pushing up nearly 20% this morning.
Is it time to buy or sell oil stocks?
In my opinion, I would be a seller of oil stocks this morning because what I’ve noticed in the past is tensions in the Middle East, while strong at times, don’t usually last long. I would not be surprised if the USA stepped in to help come up with some type of cease fire and from that Markets rallied higher and Oil prices dropped, bringing down big movers like HUSA, INDO and TPET.
Bottom Line
The Israel–Iran military escalation triggered sharp global market reactions today.
Safe-haven assets like gold, oil, and Treasuries soared, while stocks broadly declined—especially in energy-intensive and geopolitically sensitive sectors.
While the near-term looks volatile, historical trends suggest markets may stabilize in the weeks ahead. Watch upcoming indicators like inflation data and central bank signals for more clarity.
Today I’ll be looking for markets to rebound and Oil prices to settle.
