Good morning traders and congratulations once again goes out to my Market Navigator members for smashing another big play yesterday on SPY calls.
Personally I took 12.7% worth of gains on my SPY calls but some of you could have had much more as SPY calls rallied nearly 70% in about an hour!
You can see below it took me a whooping 7 minutes to hit 12.7% so that ain’t a bad day's worth of work right there!
*Note: Trading is hard, results not guaranteed and should not be expected to be replicated typically.
Here is what could have been if some of you held longer into the morning….

Either way, I am happy to get a win on a personal level but I am even more happy that my LIVE 9am to 9:30 am teaching session on where I think markets will go ended up being correct for hopefully many of you.
If you’re not yet on my Market Navigator service then shame on you. You should be! Click here for details.
I am live daily from 9am to 11am teaching traders just like you where I think SPY will trade and why. Could be a very valuable service for you!
So, where do I see markets going into the end of the week here?
A significant driver of recent market optimism is the 90-day tariff reduction agreement between the U.S. and China. The U.S. has lowered tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China has reduced its tariffs on U.S. goods from 125% to 10%. This temporary truce aims to facilitate structured negotiations and has alleviated immediate recession fears.
📊 Economic Indicators
Inflation: U.S. inflation has declined to 2.3% in April, marking a four-year low. This decrease eases concerns about rising prices, although the full impact of recent tariffs may still emerge later in the second quarter.
Retail Sales & Industrial Production: Upcoming data releases on retail sales and industrial production will provide further insights into economic trends and consumer behavior.
💻 Tech Sector Momentum
The technology sector continues to bolster market gains
Nvidia's Deal: Nvidia has secured a deal to sell 18,000 Blackwell AI chips to Saudi Arabia, coinciding with a visit by President Trump and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. This development has contributed to a surge in tech stocks. Investor's Business DailyBloomberg
AI Sector Growth: Other AI-related stocks, including Taiwan Semiconductor and Broadcom, have also experienced gains, reflecting investor confidence in the sector's growth potential.Yahoo Finance+10Investor's Business Daily+10Nasdaq+10
🛢️ Energy and Commodities
Oil Prices: Brent crude oil prices have risen nearly 3%, reaching over $65 per barrel, indicating a rebound in the energy sector.
Agricultural Markets: U.S. farmers are cautiously optimistic following the tariff truce, with expectations of increased corn exports and stable prices. However, soybean exports may dip slightly, balanced by rising domestic consumption and prices.
🔮 Looking Ahead
Investors are closely monitoring upcoming earnings reports from major companies such as Walmart, Cisco, and Alibaba. Additionally, remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell later this week may provide further guidance on interest rate policies and economic outlook.
Which asset class do you believe offers the best long-term investment potential right now? |
There ya go, lots of great material to look at and many reasons why I will continue to look for SPY calls to be my trade of the day, until markets show me otherwise.
Cheers
